TOPIC ONE: CINEMA & ENGLISH

I really like watching films: I go to the cinema sometimes but I prefer
to rent a film and to watch it of the armchair of my house with all of my conveniences.

So you can choose to watch the films in their original language or with subtitles. I think that this is a good way to learn the language, in fact few to the time you begin to learn the pronunciation and the typical english expressions.
But there are different pronunciations: for exemple the American accent is very difficult to understand because the words are cut at the end. In this case the subtitles can help you to understand better.
Instead there is a disadvantage: you assemble above all yourself on the meaning of the words without listening to the dialogues and to learn the pronunciation.
Around two mounths ago I watched a film about lawyers -"The Devil's Advocate"- american thriller film directed by Taylor Hackford starring Al Pacino and Charlize Theron.
